You may not get that many thank yous from regular citizens but, a couple years ago I ran your 5k with my family. It is unquestionably the best thing I have seen anyone do in my life while doing it myself for your organization. You provide a place for families with a cancer victim to stay and enjoy the beach. Not that many people have that opportunity. I'm always pleased to see people and organizations helping their community. The House

Justin's Beach House is a respite home for families with cancer in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Sleeping 10, the house has 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths.

There is a full kitchen and dining room on the third floor along with sun decks on all 3 floors.
On every floor there are living/gathering rooms, each equipped with a flat screen TV.

Justin's Beach House thanks the Bethany Beach Fire Company for their service to Justin's Beach House, the Memorial Weekend 5K Run/3K Walk and to the Bethany Beach Community.

Applications for 2025 are being accepted beginning November 1, 2024. Please review the House Calendar for availability.

A HEALING AND RELAXING PARTNERSHIP!

Justin’s Beach House is excited to partner with PAWS for People, the mid-Atlantic region’s premier pet therapy organization, to encourage guests to experience fun and therapeutic pet therapy visits from a gentle, affectionate pet. PAWS & JBH are offering dog visits, at your request only, on Friday mornings at 10 AM at JBH. Please contact Gloria Knittle at goknittle@comcast.net for more information or to arrange a visit.

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant (adult/child) must be undergoing active treatment for cancer. We consider treatment “active” when the applicant is seeing their physician for medication and/or therapy. An applicant is eligible until he/she has been off active treatment for one year.

It is our goal to offer cancer patients a week in beautiful Bethany Beach. Due to the large number of applications that we receive we cannot accept applications from families that have previously stayed at Justin’s Beach House.

Applicants residing outside of a 50-mile radius of Bethany Beach will be given first priority. Applicants residing within a 50-mile radius of Bethany Beach will not be considered until June 1.
